Registering

Registering is free, and does not commit you to purchase from Academy Systems [UK] Ltd. But it is necessary if you would like to store items within a shopping cart, or would like access to the members area. One of the major advantages of registering is that each time you 'log in', the web site will be configured to reflect your particular type of registration (or membership). This can also speed up navigating through the site, since you will only see products that are relevant to you.

To register with us, simply click the button on the main page that reflects the type of membership you would like, i.e., Retail (standard), Trade, or Educational. Registration Buttons on Main Page A new window will open, giving some details of benefits of membership, along with a form. Please complete all the parts of the form that are marked *. If you are registering as Trade or Educational establishments, then we will ask for more details than for standard registration. Please note that both the 'Login Name' and 'Password' you choose must be unique to you. These will both be checked, and if unavailable you will be notified and asked to choose another. Once you have completed the form, click the 'Submit Form' button at the bottom of the page, and your request will be processed immediately. At this stage, you will recieve notification that you are registered and can now log into the site.

PLEASE REMEMBER YOUR LOGIN NAME AND PASSWORD. In the interests of security, never give them to another person.

Once the registration process is complete, you may close the registration window by either clicking the 'Cancel' button at the top of the page, or by clicking the 'X' in the top right of the browser window.

We have endevoured to make your browsing through our site as simple and trouble free as possible. For this reason, the main areas of the site are always visible and accessible through the 'Top Menu' or the Side Menu' navigation buttons.

The 'Top Menu' items are designed to provide facitilities to registered members, and also to give access to information that you may find useful, such as this help file. In turn, when clicked, each of the buttons will direct you to the following information:

Home
This will return you to the home page of the site, providing access to the main page facilities such as registering, joining e-mail lists and so on. This is also the page viewed when you first access our web site.

Specials
From time to time, we may offer products at a much reduced rate, or may have other special promotions that we wish to make available to our Internet based users. Any such products or promotions will be displayed in this area. This area is visible to non-registered members.

Members
This is a secure area, which is only available to registered members, who must be logged in to view the contents. This area is designed as a method to help you and/or your business, by allowing access to records and details of your previous orders. You can also view the status of any recent orders you have made, and thus keep track of your order, as well as some of the details you have provided us (which you can update). This area is personal to you and your membership with us, and is not made available to anyone else outside of yourself and authorised staff at Academy Systems [UK] Ltd.

Shop Cart
This is a secure area, available only to registered members who are logged in. Our shopping Cart system is designed so that you do not have to purchase immediately, but can return at a later date if you want time to consider your order. So, you will not have to go through the process of searching the site again for your products. Of course, you can continue to shop and add more products, or even empty your cart. If you need to contact us for any reason, then this is the area to go. Our postal address, telephone, and fax numbers are provided. Alternatively, a contact form is given that you can complete, stating the nature of your query in the space provided. Please state your real name, and your E-Mail address when using this form, and if applicable, your business name. This will help us to locate your details more quickly. If you make a mistake on the form, press the 'Clear Form' button to start again. Pressing the 'Send Query' button will deliver your enquiry to us, and provide you with an acknowledgement that it has been sent successfully. We will endevour to respond as quickly as possible.
